This weekend the Kaldazor Te'Arana hosted The First Annual Battle Royal at Origins 05. Thanks to all those who participated, and especialy to my Co-GM Topher Kersting!

There were many issues, and no little dropping of the ball on my part as to why there isn't going to be a standerd Battle Report for this one. In short I got an education on just how much of a work in progress the Battle Royal is going to have to be for it to be a viable event next year. Dave Stanford has already taken up the torch, and will be running a HackMaster Arena Combat event at GenCon. With the positive and negative feedback I recieved for the Battle Royal, and the advances Dave makes in his event, The Battle Royal will be streamlined, refurbished and return to Origins in 06 with a new feel and an over all improved experiance for all the participants.
The issues to Be addressed for Battle Royal 06: Poison, Invisability, GM event Record keeping, Pre-existing magical effects (still under duration), Arena Staff, the possibility seprate Class events, Teleporter rules, staggered arena entry based on level, and pro-rated entry fees based on level.
